Now before people start screaming, PIRACY! It's totally legal in the UK to make back-up copies of your digital media.
When making a back-up copy of a Blu-ray disc, what do people prefer to use for the audio codec between AC3 and AAC. I'm trying to make MKV copies of some of my Blu-ray films so I can stream them through the network, and can't decide wether to use either of these two for the audio. Compatability is not a problem, but what would be the pro + cons of either?
From what I've read around the Internet, AAC supports smaller bit rate with the same audio quality giving you a smaller file size, not sure if it's true though.
