craybox
hehe i think we know that he was generalising with the first caller though :)
mdtaUK
For the average user (who his callers are usually) all that memory dump data is not useful at all. However the Stop Code, is all that you need to google an answer or to tell to Leo Laporte or a tech guy, for them to have a rough idea where the fault lies. No contradiction there. He can google error code and find out whats wrong.
Geoffrey B. Veteran Posted October 7, 2011 Veteran Share Posted October 7, 2011 He is half way correct, for the average user it is useless, for an expert user it explains the error.

Detection
I don't think Leo knows as much as some of his callers are led to believe, 9/10 times when someone has a problem, he gets this "Oh ****" look on his face and looks straight at the chatroom for help I think he is funny, but blags his way through most of his show with info he picks up from people who do know

I'm sure he does really know alot more than some of us. I am a big Leo fan ever since he was on TechTV and Call For Help.
AltecXP
Well Leo has always been a tech journalist, not a tech support person. People think they are teh same thing.

"The Screensavers" I believe is what his show was :p Check out his Netcast network twit.tv . Leo has pretty much re-created TechTV and made it even better.
