Desktop Monitoring Software?

Question

Hi All,

I have a client that is confident his employees are spending alot of their time on sites such as Facebook / Twitter during working hours.

Can someone recommend a monitoring software which will produce reports on how much time a user spends browsing the internet? and if possible... what sites / how much time on them specific sites they spend?

Any freeware / open source software would be a big bonus!

Thanks

We dont want to restrict any websites at all. We just want to be able to produce a report for each employee at the end of each month to see how many hours have been spent on social networking during working hours.

Edit - He's a pretty relaxed client and doesnt mind some social networking use in office hours, but if someone is spending to much time on it, they will be asked to spend less time on it.

Hello,

I work in a School/Academy and we use Impero Client, great bit of software and you can set it up so it does all the work for you. It can record sessions and also take pictures if any of the keywords ie "Facebook" are used.

The link is http://www.imperosoftware.com/ its does cost money but there is also a free trial.

many proxy/firewall softwares can produce the reports you are looking for. look for netnanny or cyberguardian type of apps too. there are payfor apps that I can recommend (and have previously) that can do this and more as well as appliances.
