thisispete
Hi guys, At work we can only get a dial up connection, no broadband :( and our ISP wont assign us a static IP What we are after is a program that can post our current IP to a webpage, or file?, so that we can host this page with the posted IP where out website and mail is hosted so that we are out onsite on a network, we can go to that page, get the IP and VPN into our server at work and get programs and synchronize our exchange mail. I cant find anything that can do this, and preferably on Windows 2000 server. Our linux server isnt always on the net so its probably not the best to put a script on or whatever. We've checked through our Advanced server docs and theres not a lot on there that will help us, so im hoping someone out there knows how to do it, or a way that this or something similiar can be done. thanks people  peeete

Surley this is worse, with the service i have emailed to you it is asigned a domain name, you could even make that domain name a string of numbers if you wanted, so it would be just the same as an ip address, no one would know unless you gave it to them
