Let the Longhorn Date-Pool Bets Begin

Recommended Posts

Neowin's sources are claiming to have seen an internal Microsoft timetable for Longhorn client. According to their tipsters, Microsoft has pegged an August 15,2005, release-to-manufacturing date on the product. If Microsoft were to make this date, the company could ship the product in calendar 2005. But does anyone think Redmond has a snowball's chance of hitting that target? I believe Microsoft still has a miniscule chance of a 2005 release, but only if it cuts some of the 700 new features (according to one of our sources) planned for the OS.
