Berserk87
I used to have a really good video converter that would actually max all 4 cores on my Q6600, hd video conversions took minutes instead of hours. I've search the forum for other posts like this, and downloaded at least 7 different converters, but I cant find the one i used to have. I lost it when i reinstalled windows and forgot what its called and now i cant find it.
0 Mouettus
Handbrake? BTW if you convert from one codec to another, no matter the piece of software it's going to last hours! Now if you keep the same codec (eg. x264) and just change the file type/container, then it's a matter of minutes!
0 Berserk87
Heres what I've used. Xilisoft Video Converter Freemake Video Converter Handbreak Any Video Converter AVS Video Converter Media Coder x64 I know different format and different qualitys will be faster and all that, but I had one that would max everything on my computer and be finished in 1/3 of the time as the other converters. 0 Nick H. Supervisor Posted October 22, 2011 Supervisor Share Posted October 22, 2011 I use Handbrake. You could also check out The Freeware Alternative List. Maybe the particular software that you used is listed there. One thing I find curious. For such a decent piece of software, how could you not remember the name of it?
