XP Home Workgroup

*POST MAY BE DELETED BY MOD* Damn McAfee Security firewall Dell pre-installed, just added the IP of second pc and all works fine now.

I am having difficulties with a two-machine setup for a small business environment. The PC's are configured on a netgear broadband router sharing earthlink DSL. The pc's can ping each other and access the internet. The first machine at register (Dell with XP Home SP1 preloaded) can access the shared files and printer on the second machine in the office and successfully print test pages. The second machine has been upgraded installation to XP Home SP1 from Windows 98, did not do a clean install because of current inventory software in use, in process of switching to Quickbooks, and will be able to clean install later if necessary. When clicking the "My Network Places" and entire network, it has a very long pause, and will show the workgroup icon and name; however when I click on the workgroup it will pause with a delay and return the error message "Workgroup is not accessible. You might not have permissions to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions." Accounts have been mirrored on both machines locally (same user/pass setup) but the second machine fails to contact the workgroup and I cannot gain access to the shared devices at the first machine. Anyone familiar with this problem please help, thanks.
