DDStriker
Does anyone know of a decent application that can save the state of a program and restore it? This is to be used in the event of the machine suddenly freezing/hard locking while an application is running
0 Seizure1990
I'm pretty sure this is the second or third time I've seen this question, and each time, I'm pretty sure the answer is "no". Saving the state of an arbitrary, unknown program, and then reconstructing it so that it continues working without knowing any better is a nightmare, I'd imagine. 0 migo
How would you expect such a program to save a state to work if the machine locks up?
0 +Xinok Subscriber² Posted November 18, 2011 Subscriber² Share Posted November 18, 2011 The only way to do this would be to use a virtual machine which takes snapshots at a certain interval.
