kinyin
I havent played much final fantasy, if any at all, but I have however seen my son play pokemon. I was wondering if they were basically the same. In pokemon, basically you start off with a character, get a little monster and run around leveling this monster up. in the process you may meet friends, learn new skills, encounter new worlds and take on new monsters. In the battles, one player makes his move, theres an animation, and then the second player makes their move. Last one (or team) standing wins and gains experience. From what ive learned, final fantasy is very much like pokemon. You run around the world leveling yourself up. in the process you may meet friends, learn new skills, encounter new worlds and take on new monsters. In the battles, one player makes his move, theres an animation, and then the second player makes their move. Last one (or team) standing wins and gains experience. Only real differences are that in FF you can get items, theres a better storyline and better graphics. Am I right?
forster
Its the basic RPG formula that applies to both, the leveling of characters, items and doing quests.
.weir
In fional fantasy u more often than not control a party of players instead of just one, and overall it's much more challenging . . . but i geuss that pokemon really does kind of follow the same basic format
Fotix
Much better than Pokemon. :) Plus the battles are conducted in real-time by default from FF4 onwards AFAIK.
