0 max22
Sorry I mean windows as in Microsoft Windows. I can see how if you read it the other way it may seem like just a normal window.
0 Blaze_Zewi
What version of windows are we talking about XP, Vista or 7? There should be a Windows Customizing thread in the Windows section of this board have a look there. But my advice to you is don't use ANY third party theme packs to customize your system it'll just mess up / slow down your system in the end. I thought they all worked for all versions of recent windows (XP, Vista and 7) Does it really mess up / slow down a fast system still ? If so why is this ? Is there anyway to do it but not have it mess up/slow down the PC ?

0 articuno1au
It definitely matters. Each version of Windows makes significant changes to both interface and back end code. You need to be working in the right tools. Custopack tools is the best option for plug and play themes. Simply download it, import a theme and hit apply. If you want to get more in depth, I am inclined to think you need to do the research to work out what you want, if for no other reason than you have no idea what you are doing. Regarding whether it will slow your system down: It's is possible, but not inherently true. I gave up skinning my Windows after stability issues that always creep up after updates. I was worried about this too and how certain programs would interaction with the skinning.
0 TEX4S
I think windowsblinds or rainmeter is about the most one can do - MS doesnt allow the overall GUI to be customized. I remember several years ago, before Go-L Computers was figured out to be the biggest vaporware of all time (more like failware) They showed a completely customized Windows GUI which made people think someone had a connection to Redmond - because normal mortals cant do it. Before they disappeared, I tried contacting their sales office - emailed them I had an AMEX in hand, ready to purchase - and nobody got back to me - I mentioned this to Maximum PC and they printed 2 of my "experiences/reviews" of those ass clowns. Everyone Remember this ?: http://www.neowin.ne...l-computers-ii/ BACK ON TOPIC: Windows cant be customized more than what you see in Windowsblinds or rainmeter - I think
