How do you enable Insert Barcode in Word 2007

Question

Hi everyone.

I guess I'm going to be asking a few stupid questions today. I'm trying to create a barcode in Word 2007 and don't want the text to appear below it like with the font option. There is an "Insert Barcode" option in Word 2007, which seems promising. However, in my Word 2007 it is not showing up on the Insert Tab where it is supposed to be. Additionally, I have a Search addon for the ribbon, so I did a search and found it, but the drop down to add a barcode is greyed out. Does anyone happen to know by chance why this might be greyed out like this? It's a local install and everything, so all of the suggestions I've found online (That it was due to a setting in my Sharepoint Policy) just don't make any sense...

If need be, I can create the barcodes outside the program and copy them in, but I really didn't want to have to do that. :|

Thanks Again,

Using the Barcode font, you can't remove the text underneath since that's part of the font. The "Insert Barcode" option is only available in Professional Plus (different than just Professional), Enterprise, and Ultimate or in the stand-alone version. You'll likely have to use something externally to create them and insert them if the human readable text is a deal breaker using the font way.

Oh, alright. Thanks everyone for the help. I didn't know that and figured since I had Professional I'd have everything.

Thanks for the help and clarification. :)
