Zero Wireless Config...

Recommended Posts

Just had a problem arise on my wifes Dell laptop (XP Pro, Inspiron 2500).

The wireless conn has died, for no apparant reason (but I was fiddling with the hub eralier)...the card is a D-Link 650+ in 4x mode to get the extra bandwidth boost. I've had problems with this set up in the past and a deinstalaltion of the drivers and the disabling of the XP zero wireless config always fixed the problem after a reboot. Two other machines using the same wireless net work ok.

However, now for some reason it never finds the wireless network...I've changed SSID, Channels and installed and reinstall the original and latest drivers for the card with and without the built in wireless manager. Whenever I double click on the crossed out net conn I get the available wireless diag but nothing is listed nor can I click on the advaced tab everythng is greyed out. I'm sat under the wireless hub so I really can't get any more closer than that!

Any ideas?
