The_Fox
Hello Guys I'm currently studying my CCNA and i was wondering if any of you guys had any network tools that you would recommend. I know windows has some built in tools but I was thinking if any of you had anything else in your software tool kits?

riceBox
In our class, we always used Cisco packet tracer and Wireshark aside from the built-in tools in Windows. Also we extensively used PuTTY as our terminal emulator for configuring networking devices.
+BudMan MVC Posted January 3, 2012 MVC Share Posted January 3, 2012 Off the top nmap given for anyone that does networking toolbelt.. hping/hping2 another given Other must haves stunnel, openssl -- if your a fan of wireshark then you also need ostinato Most of these are not in anyway what so ever required to getting your ccna ;) You only need very basic skills for ccna, so yeah ping/traceroute and putty is about all you need.
