Truly awesome.

And people say that animals are stupid creatures incapable of feelings or emotions.

You can especially tell how smart he is, at the end of the clip, when he flies of with it! :o

Absolutely, it really is awesome as I said and I do not use that word all that often.

Like I said if anyone needs any proof of the intelligence animals are capable of possessing, or if they are capable of emotions (in this case the emotion would be fun), they need to look no further than this video.

doesn't look like the crow did it on purpose, looked more like the piece of thing that he was eating kept sliding away and he sort of chased/rode after it. pretty funny still.

?? As soon as the first ride down ends, the crow grabs it and flies immediately up, if it was something they were trying to eat they would have tried eating it first. Then as soon as it gets to the top it puts it down immediately and jumps on it. I would say those two very quick actions alone proves it is without any doubt intentional.

I've heard they can count up to 10 and, apparently, they've figured out a way to break tough nuts by dropping them in a trafficked street and waiting for cars to crush them!

Very cool! And absolutely awesome, but...

#1 I am absolutely not diminishing the intelligence of crows or other corvids. I spent a year studying American Crows as part of a research project during college. And I've been watching them recreationaly ever since. They are amazingly crafty, wary, smart, and emotive birds. I wouldn't trade the time i spent observing them for the world.

(Spoiler Alert! Yes, i know it's posted in jokes and funny stuff, BUT!)

#2 What you are looking at isn't ONLY a crow having fun sliding down a snowy rooftop. (I'm sure it's having fun, too, but!) It also has definite purpose, as always. It's an incredibly smart bird trying to do everything it can to get a food reward out of whatever it is focused on. If you'll notice, it takes it's prize to the apex of the roof, then starts trying to get inside by pecking at it. As it pecks harder at the target, it loses balance on the roof and slides down a side. Then, he starts to peck again and flies back up to the spot. It repeats this process a couple of times making it look as though it just wants to slide down the roof, when its true goal is to get into whatever it's holding on to.
