noll3095
I've used and recommended Linksys products for years. Never had any problems with connectivity or heat (actually the cable modem feels hotter than the router at the moment).

Guest Beh
Linksys products are great. I also have some Netgear wireless routers, and I have been very happy with them as well. Netgear or Linksys, you can't go wrong. Just avoid D-Link and Microsoft routers. Seen many problems with those. i have had a microsoft router for a while now and everything that i wanted to do works fine on it, easy to configure port forwarding and things like that
Jediweasel
I've got an Edimax Router I use with my ADSL connectiona and it has been up and running for almost 18 months with no down time. I recently priced a wireless model from them to replace this one and was surprised by the price. It was only $68. Alot cheaper than this one was when I bought it. :)
MxxCon
i don't like Linksys(which got bought out by cisco) becuase they agreed to cooperate with FBI to install backdoors into their products.
NeoMasamune
I use a Linksys router at home and it works just great. Out of the list above, I pick Cisco hands down. :ninja:
ceminess
linksys for home use and cisco for people who can afford one and understand how to program it (like me cisco ccna grad)

NeoSigma
linksys for home use and cisco for people who can afford one and understand how to program it (like me cisco ccna grad) I agree. Linksys for home, D-Link for either home or business and cisco for only business and enterprise. I have the entire ccna internet curriculum. I've read through everything but never went to get the ccna. I know someone who did but he said it didn't come in handy at all. But then again he got it when he was 18. I doubt companies wanna hire an 18 year old to manage their network.
Frank
At home, I use a D-Link router, and never had any problems. Tech support is pretty good for it also. I have also used a SMC barricade, and it is JUNK. Tech support would blame it on my networking cards "going to sleep", and wouldn't help any more. Cisco is the best but VERY expensive. At work, we use a nexland pro 800 turbo router (just got bought out by symantec) and a Sonicwall Firewall. We use HP switches, and I am VERY happy with those also..... 1/4 mile times:Stock : 18.95 @ 73MPH at 145HP Stock +Cold Air induction : 17.6 @ 80.9MPH @ 152HP I dunno if this is something I would be bragging about if I were you. What kind of car is it?
