ZakO 495 Posted January 21, 2012 Cancellation email? Why was it cancelled? I just managed to order one Mis-price: https://www.facebook...371613726188591 They might honour some orders but *******s who bought 10-25+ of them (like a few people on hotukdeals did) have probably spoilt it for everyone. neo158 281 Posted January 21, 2012 Yet the page is still up: http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5280612.htm?storeId=10001&referredURL=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.argos.co.uk%2Fstatic%2FProduct%2FpartNumber%2F5280612.htm&jspStoreDir=argos&referrer=COJUN&_%24ja=tsid%3A11674|prd%3A1546795&cmpid=COJUN
ZakO 495 Posted January 21, 2012 Yet the page is still up: http://www.argos.co....795&cmpid=COJUN Except if you try to add it to the basket it gives a 404 (not found) error and has done for the past 2 hours, so they've obviously tried to remove the product... but their site is crap :p. paulheu 207 Posted January 21, 2012 Pricing issue or not.. The 'damage' is done.. Another cheap brand exposure action by Nokia.. well done! The few cases they cannot get away from will get delivered at stated price, the remainder will cancel and the rest.. just wished it had been true but in te meantime yet again Nokia and Lumia are plastered across webblogs worldwide .. :punk:
Lee G. 234 Posted January 21, 2012 Yet the page is still up: http://www.argos.co....795&cmpid=COJUN It's still up, but it won't let you buy one. It looks like they've cancelled all the orders too.

TheLegendOfMart 1,558 Posted January 21, 2012 Gah, why do Argos only deliver to the UK? I was about to buy one while the site still worked... Cause its a UK only company??????
what 326 Posted January 21, 2012 Cause its a UK only company?????? Pretty sure it's a rhetorical question.
Wakers 336 Posted January 21, 2012 Shame. Some people reported that they were able to go in store and buy one for that price (not sure about that as it said web exclusive) - but even if some people were able to buy it, the idiots at HotUKdeals made sure it was never going to last by ordering 10 or even 25 each. Selfish ********.
paulheu 207 Posted January 21, 2012 Anbody who seriously considered that price to be correct must have a below average IQ. Setup or not, the price was just too good to be true and if any of these buyers who now threaten to goto court should know not only is there a disclaimer on the site, this is also obviously not a realistic price anyone who will protest in hindsight will need a reality check. paulheu 207 Posted January 21, 2012 Shame. ~Johnny 397 Posted January 21, 2012 These people are BSing.. the deal was online exclusive and those are never available in the stores. It's not just the deal itself that's online exclusive - the phone itself is only available as part of their extended online collection - i.e., they don't even stock it in stores. Detection 2,256 Posted January 21, 2012 Update 2: In spite of the words of comfort that Argos offered to us over the phone, the company's taken to Facebook to inform its customers that the Lumia 800 was mispriced and all orders at the erroneous price will be cancelled. Cancellation text messages have also been sent out to those who thought they'd managed to complete a successful order.
