server core Cannot remotely manage Windows Firewall

First of all, I apologize beforehand for carelessly wandering into the Land Of Servers.

Well, anyway, I have this setup running in VirtualBox:

Host: Windows 7 SP1 (192.168.1.1)

Guest: Windows Web Server 2008 R2 SP1 (Server Core), fresh install, no roles activated yet (192.168.1.4)

- There's no domain, only default WORKGROUP workgroup set for both

- Server's administrator user's credentials have been added to the Host using Credential Manager

- Therefore, Computer Management snap-in connects and, e.g., Services, Event Viewer can be fully vandalised managed

- Windows Firewall snap-in, however, doesn't want to connect and barks at me like this: http://i.imgur.com/ZBrdq.png

- Server's firewall has been configured to allow remote management

* initially with Core Configurator

* then with netsh advfirewall firewall set rule group="remote administration" new enable=yes

* finally firewall was disabled at all and that didn't make a difference

Where am I being dumb, please? :wacko:

Solved it. Probably. Remote administration of Firewall seems to require a domain to be set up. Oh well.
