markus
Hi, i have a D-Link DI-614+ router and a DWL-650+ adapter. D-Link provides their own tool to connect to the Access Point. My problem is should i use this or should i use the Windows inbuilt software? Are there any advantages? Cheers, Mark

thebigl3bowski
i would try the windows one first if i couldn't get it to work right away then i would go with the built in stuff reasoning: windows trys to do its own thing no matter what, it would probably end up messing something up down the road. so try to use the windows one. (the new networking stiff in windows isn't half bad)

Use them. The only thing you need to do is install the driver for the wireless device on those Operating Systems. If you're using any other operating system you will have to install the software that came from the manufacturer.
