Websense workaround

Recommended Posts

I'm currently living in student halls and the internet I'm using has websense installed. To connect to the internet I need to change my proxy to 10.2.3.33 port 8080.

Is there any way for me to bypass this? I'm 21 years old and it seems to block me from quite a few websites. It's upsetting as I'm using the internet in my own time and I should be able to view whatever material I like. I feel like a kid again. Some proxy's worked the other day but they don't seem to be working today.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Buy or use a free VPN. VPN's will always work. Check this one out:

my highschool used websense, i found it quite easy to bypass

just use http://proxy-list.org to find a :3128 port proxy and use that in firefox

if the proxy stops working just check back again because their list is always updating

Obviously the school resources are not supposed to be used for the purposes you wish to in your own time, get your own laptop/internet connection to ensure there is no problem with the school administration. eg: 3G/4G Mobile Hotspot.
