lchazl
hey, sometimes when i download anything with internet explorer 6, the download will start and go to X% and then it will just stop(freeze), so i have to press cancel, and try to download it again.. sometimes this works but not always. i have win xp pro sp1, on a cable connection shared by 2 computers via a hub. thanks, chaz ;)
ze-newie
I had this problem a few months back (same set up too) and it just magically went away after a while. It was annoying as f... when it was happening though. Anyone have any clue?

-=SD=-
Never had this happen, run some tests on dslreports.com to see if your line is ok (mainly do line quality, and the tweak test). I would say it's either your connection dropping it or maybe cause your cache is at it's limit and can't download anymore then that x amount? gwilson
I have the same problem. My guess is that it is IE's crappy file download software. I use a download manager whenever possible and none of those problems appear. Plus, you can resume file downloads if you ever do happen to get cut off if the server you are downloading from supports it.
-=SD=-
Not sure if there is a service for the downloads with IE, but did you guys turn anything off that might cause this? Only problem I used to have was programs not installing after downloads, with a service turned off but I never had a download not complete/freeze.
