Frank
What do you mean get through to port 2082? Run a security scan from sygate (scans.sygate.com) or DSL Reports (dslr.net) and see if that port comes up open or closed.
KC
sorry I need to find out if that port is open as well as several other ports. I all try what you said thanks. also can one ping a port and find out if its open?
Frank
You can't really ping a port (I don't think) but in the DOS Prompt, you can type "telnet 0.0.0.0 port#" (0.0.0.0 = The IP Address you are connecting to : port# = the port you want to connect to) from another PC, and if you get a error, the port is either closed, or blocked. If you get a blank screen, or a response the port is open.
