Well Usenet has a kinda 'hidden advantage'. Most of these laws are directed directly at Web Based content, ie, Torrent Files, NZB Files, P2P Handlers etc. But Usenet itself isn't on the 'Web'. So maybe websites like NZBMatrix and Newzbin will come under fire, but the ability to browse a news server will not, and with Clients like Unison, who needs an NZB hosting site? You never needed the web for edonkey and such either. The web doesn't really factor in to this. There are other things that protect usenet. Private trackers are just as safe if not safer though if you must steal. DC+ hubs have already been closed en masse in the past with lots of lawsuits.
