Sierra
Since friday I can't log into Yahoo messenger. It gives me the message that someone else logged into it. I've created two new accounts with two totally different email addys but still the same... Any ideas? :(
kjordan2001
Have you upgraded to the latest version? Could be you're locked out because they changed the way their protocols work.
Sierra
Yes. I've tried it with and without the update. Just to make sure I've also disabled any firewalls etc... it happens also when i log in when using another provider...
Digital.K
Well yahoo email accounts aren't required for yahoo identities, if you are using the same identity for mail and messenger, you may not be signed out of yahoo services and that could be the reason you're getting that message, I'm not sure, but I'd try logging into yahoo on the web then log out and try it if ya haven't done so already..... Sierra
Nothing helpful there. Could it be Virus or anything like that? Just found out that also when I upload stuff for my homepage most of it uploads just 50% (images etc)...
bangbang023 Veteran Posted October 5, 2003 Veteran Share Posted October 5, 2003 sounds like something isn't right with your system. Do a scan with an antivirus then also run Spybot search and destroy and ad aware
Sierra
Running a scan now ... What I just saw is, when I copy a file eg. 'image.jpg' in explorer to the homepage via ftp it actually shows 'copying image.jpg.MNO' although the extension on my drive is .jpg only (known types not hidden by XP) ... Looks like it's time to format everything. Too strange...
itsnotabigtruck
The .MNO file type is for Macromedia Design Notes. Do you use Dreamweaver or Fireworks? If you do it might be uploading both your image and an MNO file.
Sierra
Oh, ok it's Dreamweaver then... BTW: 74 pests so far (scanned with Pest Patrol). A lot of Windows Media Player Exploits etc... WTF...........................................................
itsnotabigtruck
(scanned with Pest Patrol) I would highly recommend Spybot Search & Destroy instead of PestPatrol. Before you scan with Spybot S&D though, be sure you have the latest updates. :)
