Screens on a controller are not necessarily a bad idea. Think of how the DS uses it as a map, inventory management, etc. It can easily keep game interfaces off the play area and in your physical control. That being said, even if the 720 has a controller with a screen attached i doubt it will be fully motion sensitive or anything beyond a simple touch screen.
