Which Star Wars fans thinks Hayden can't Act?

Recommended Posts

How Many movies does it take to make people believe this guy (Hayden) is Talented?

It's not enough with "Life as a House"?

With Star Wars, he seem sucked... so? maybe it's ONLY because of George Lucas's directing problems, who knows for sure?

He was great in Life As A House. I agree with you, it's Lucas and his crappy directing/movies

I think the big problem with him in Ep 2 was actually the role itself. There was a lotta whining coming from Vader... "obi wan won't let me do this, obi wan won't let me do that, im gonna be the jedt little jedi ever, wah wah wah". It doesn't help him to have to act whiney through the whole film.

He is a decent actor, probably better then a lot of the other actors in that age range really. Tho he should work on his mad voice, because even one line in that trailer when he is telling his editor that hes supposed to stand up for him, he came off more whiny then mad/serious.

Now, GL is still a great storyteller, and Special Effects master, but as an acting director he is NOT Bryan Singer, or Peter Jackson, and far from Steven Spielberg (his best director friend)!

I just watched the trailor... eh, he doesn't look amazing in that either, something about the way he "sounds" when his tone of voice is angry or stressed. [ex. at the end of the trailor when he's saying "I didn't do anything wrong"]. He didn't sound convincing there...

Although, his role in Life As A House was amazing, if I had only seen him in that movie and nothing else, the kid would be "Top 10" in my book.

No, I think Hayden's performing just below average in Ep II. His way of delivering lines is not good enough, look at the picnic scene in Ep II and I can see clearly how bad he was performing.

His expressions of hate and anger were not really convincing.

I hope Hayden will overcome his delivering lines and the ways he act in Ep III. Still like 1 1/2 year away from release...just can't wait to see Ep III :D

The script didn't work in his favor, I do agree. But, I still don't think he projected a great performance as an actor either way.

I met his best friend last summer with his dad and they even said he can do better if a better acting project comes out. They said his stage/theater performances are far superior.

George Lucas really should get the SWK (Star Wars Kid) to do some sort of cameo in Episode III. I think that would be hilarious. Then again, I'm not a huge Star Wars fan so I'm sure the die-hards would think it would be utterly despicable. I'm a huge LoTR fan, so if they did something along the same lines with a LoTR movie, I would be royalled P'd.

But come on....SWK would be so funny. Have him in the background of a huge light-saber battle doing his thing....

I don't think Lucas would do that stupid act...he does not want to ruin the movie this time.

Same here :) I'm not a Star Wars fan, so maybe that's why I want it. Not making fun of the 'Star Wars Kid', though.

Hmm... well he seems way better in that trailer, so I have to conclude that's it's all George Lucas' fault. Damn him for turning a potentially interesting idea into just another two Hollywood blockbusters.

/me hopes he will redeem himself with EpIII.

Give the kid a break give him a non jedi speaking role (just a few lines) or even just a role in teh jedi academy. poor kid went through hell at least let him be an extra. or someone who says "thank you sir".
