Edrick Smith
Anyone know how to change what shows as your "default" employer on Facebook? I actively work for two companies, however it seems to just show the newest company I work for on my main profile page. I'd like it to however show the other one, is there any way to do this other than editing dates?

cooky560 Veteran Posted February 14, 2012 Veteran Share Posted February 14, 2012 I hate to say this but I'm pretty sure it's not possible, I just don't show any real details on my facebook
philcruicks
If you actively work for 2 and its showing the most recent one you've added, just delete the older one and re-add it....if that fails yeah contact FB.
bgjerlow
There is a way to do this. You go to update info, click edit on the work you want not to show as default, then untick "I currently work here" and hit save.
jdstillwater
OK, here's an inelegant solution, but it works, and I was pretty excited to discover it. Delete the date you started with the employer you DON'T want to be the default. It's not obvious how to do this; the pop-up menu of years has a double-dash at the top of it; choose that. After you Save Changes, it will no longer be the default employer. Shame on Facebook for not having a feature that does this elegantly.
