Melven
Hello all. i have cable connection and a router that connects with 4 clients.through XP i managed connecting fine and having internet on the pc and be able to see the rest of the clients. But i cant manage that on win98 for some reason.Because DHCP doesnt work on my router i ve put the IP's on the pc by myself.so if the router is 192.168.2.1 the pc is 192.168.2.2 etc.On win98 i ve set the ip on the pc and subnet mask and put as gateaway the router's ip.All these i ve done at the TCP properties of the erthernet card. But still i cant even ping the router and of course see any of the other clients or have internet.workgroup is the same on all. can you please help me out a bit.ill be gratefull. thanks.
