Boktai1000
Hey guys, I'm checking out the "new" builds that are compiled by Toastman (link below), but have one quick question. I see there are three different folders, I understand that the first two are just different build dates but what I curious about is the difference between "tomato-RT-1.28.20111009" and "tomato-RT-N-1.28.20111009". If anyone knows the difference and would like to spread the knowledge that would be great, thanks! :D http://www.4shared.com/dir/v1BuINP3/Toastman_Builds.html#dir=119136076
biles
You can find your answer in this post: http://www.linksysin...06/#post-175789. "Choose the RT-N branch for some recent MIPSR2 routers (e.g E4200, RT-N10U, RT-N12B1, WNR3500L v2). The E4200 needs the newer "N" wireless driver to get support for the 5GHz radio. You can still use the RT version IF you don't need the 5GHz radio to work."
lars77
If you look at the folder names in the 4Shared folder you will see the descriptions of the different builds. I've been using one of Toastman's RT-N builds on my Linksys E4200 with no probs so far. (QOS is so much better on Tomato vs the default Linksys firmware!)
