So, like here's what I don't get.

I'm not sure if y'all remember this, but when IE9 was coming out, this forum was going on about how IE is finally gonaa be a worthwhile browser again. So why everywhere else has IE's reputation not changed?

Just wondering,

Because the people who know how to upgrade use better browsers like Firefox or chrome.

Users who don't know how to upgrade are likely still stuck on IE8.

There also isn't much in terms of customization for IE9, so it's basically just a basic-user browser.

Because it's still cool to hate IE.

I figure one of reasons may be because Windows XP is still having a lot of market share, especially in biz. Now, IE9 doesn't run on XP and so IE9 doesn't get talked about.

Except when there's some floating fish to show, then it's the best damn thing in the known universe. Yeah, it's cool to hate it :D

Oh, word through the grapevine is that NASA used it get to the moon. And were unable to do it again so far because Vista couldn't reach the escape velocity.

Maybe people don't like to change unless they need to ?

"Maybe people don't like to change unless they know how to?" FTFY

As it stands, most people who don't know even basic tasks in Windows. They only install new apps if someone else recommends it, otherwise they simply stick with whatever is already installed. If they knew how, then they would probably explore other options for the common programs they use and probably would find something better than what they currently use.
