XBOX - popularity misunderstanding!

Recommended Posts

Get an XBox, it's awesome. It's true there isn't as wide a variety of games as on other consoles, but the quality of the ones out there is great, especially if you are into the sports games and Live adds a whole other experience that the others just cannot match. Hook it up to your broadband connection, HDTV and DD5.1 surround sound and it rocks the house!!

I dont really feel the need to mod it as it would cost a bit of cash but i think it is deftinetly worth it if you ahve the cash to burn. Just keep supporting the good games and rip the average ones ;)

modded mine for free using font 'sploit (shhhh :ninja: )

I really liek how they did the modchip thing for live, i would hate for there to be an assload of cheaters. At least you can get around that relatively easy.

i would definitely say getting an xbox is worth it - not necessarily so when the prices were alot higher around when it came out, but i'd say its worth it now...

modding, new hard drives in it, things like that make it alot more fun too.

i've never been overly impressed with anything on the PS2, but the HDD abilities, XBOX Live and things like that definitely impress me.

Alright, thanks for the link!

I agree nintendo is a serious past time console for me, it all started off with Mario on nintendo. Then the obsession hit with n64 and Orcarina.

I agree that a gamecube is a must have, it pumped out two calssics already.

- Metroid Prime

- Wind Waker

rogue squadron 2 is a classic too.

Yes, it's worth it. I love my Xbox and wouldn't be without it now. Just love Soul Calibur 2...

I had a PS2 prior to buying it (which has now become dated in comparison). If it weren't for FFX-2 coming out soon (well, 8 months time is my guess for us Europeans), I wouldn't bother with the PS2 at all. To be honest, I'm not even that interested in that. :)

Well, I'm not really the one to answer the question, as I rarely use my Xbox for gaming.. Now watching movies on the other hand... :)

An Xbox+Mod-chip with Xbox Media Player (soon Xbox Media Center) is the best/cheapest home multimedia center available. Oh, and emulation of classic systems is a beautiful thing.

But I guess that's not really what this thread is about, so I apologize.. :)
