DConnell Member Posted February 27, 2012 Member Share Posted February 27, 2012 Just exactly what would we do with a Death Star, if we had one ? Renegotiate oil and gas prices.
Phouchg
Just exactly what would we do with a Death Star, if we had one ? Another one? :shiftyninja: That's no moon. It's an alien space nazi lizard battle station! +Mirumir 1 Share
monkey13
Had a good laugh at this. Us doing this is like people from the early iron age trying to cost the Seawise Giant. Yeah I am certain that the way the Death Star is built is just like an aircraft carrier. Only scaled up.... and in space ..... and in the future ..... and made from the same materials .... and the same man power (they certainly didn't have anything like say robots in Star Wars)..... So this works!
Obi-Wan Kenobi
as someone who has been there, I can tell you that ol' darth really went all out on it....cost was not an issue, as in if he didn't like your bid, for example, he'd simply use the force to choke you within inches of your life....until you came down on the price he demanded (which was usually free, because you did it because he said so....if you were on his side....anyway...). He did try to keep things to a bare minimum, though.....if things got too outrageous, you'd be the laughing stock of the construction crew. If, however, things were "made on a planet where such factories existed as foxconn"....well then you were right up his alley, cost wise. (he would just force choke you and take your money if he thought you were weak in any area, so a guy had to play a little hard ball)....then there was a small opening that he forgot to have the engineers build a small pew proof door around......you can imagine how derped off he was about THAT one.....but it turned out, there was a SECOND one being built, apparently simultaneously. (Leia does not like to talk about the first one....she gets all bitter and cold, almost as if she knew someone from that poor puny failing planet)........ </sarcasm> I'd say it's not cost effective, nor bullet proof....or pew proof.....ineffective use of failed NASA rocket leftover parts </more sarcasm> HighwayGlider 1 Share
soniqstylz
Star wars is in the past hence the "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away bit" I do love these kinds of articles there just so geeky. :geek: The galaxy far, far away is far, far advanced compared to Earth's. The article merely mentions that the technology needed by Earth humans to build a Death Star is about 500 years away. The hairstyles, however, remain in the distant (30 years ago) past. Dear college students, the Death Star isn't real. .....yet
