2nd Zelda Bonus Disk...no longer a rumor

Recommended Posts

October 06, 2003 - Earlier this year, rumors ran rampant that Nintendo would release another Legend of Zelda bonus disc (similar to the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time pre-order bonus) that would contain several of the classic titles. But with no confirmation from Nintendo the rumors were discredited and all prospects of a Zelda compilation disc were forgotten.

However, Nintendo has recently released artwork to retailers depicting a Legend of Zelda Collector's Edition disc. The disc will feature The Legend of Zelda, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, and a demo of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. From the available artwork, it looks like this disc will be included as a pack in with new GameCubes, although we hope we'll also see it as a bonus for those who order The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords. While it most likely will be a straight port much like the Ocarina of Time disc, this is still a must have treat for all Zelda fans.

We'll update you with release date and how exactly to obtain as a copy as soon as the information is released. Meanwhile, check out the artwork yourself in our media pages below.

Where's a link to the past? Meh...

Like Nintendo would kill thier Link to the past Gameboy Advance sales like that.

That's one thing that ticks me off about nintendo.

Instead of getting Super Mario Allstars, we get all the Super Mario games seperately at 30 bucks a peice.

Is it regular price ($99) AMerican??

If so do you think its worth it just to play the zelda games?

For those four games yes I do.

Now if it had been twtris worlds and something else like the Xbox bundle I'd have said no lol.

All 4 of those Zelda games are above average with part 2 being the least best. I'm buying the disk but I'm made Z:LttP wasn't in there as it would've been great to have them all on one disk.

hell no its not worth it. its called a NINTENDO, and its much cheaper than a gamecube, plus the games shouldnt be that hard to find. i work at gamestop and we usually have a few of each of those games in stock at all times.

i can see paying that if you don't already have a cube, but only for that reason. besides this is only a ploy by Nintendo to sell more cubes because they aren't happy with the current sales totals for the system. they have even stopped manufacturing them to try to clear out their warehouses.
