rlculver
Hi, I have the Dlink DSL-604+ wireless ADSL router and was wondering if their are any default rules to set on the firewall. All I basically use my connected clients for is email and web browsing with the occasional games. Is they a default config at all? mAcOdIn Veteran Posted October 7, 2003 Veteran Share Posted October 7, 2003 I don't know how your router is set up out of the box since I've only used linksys and smc routers but for what you want to do there should be no need to have any ports open or forwarded. liar2
you won't need to open any ports unless you decided you wanted to run a server. in that case, you would need to do some configuring.
shermang
if everything works as normal don't touch it, there is default config. I just bought a Dlink 604 myself actually, just got the settings done wonderfully(to allow my FTP/HTTP server to get through) If you have any simple questions not covered in their..very bad manual, fire off an e-mail to mister_twist[at}h0tmail.com
