So Thunderbird worked fine for me right until I configured my DNS settings to that of OpenDns; 208.67.222.222 & 208.67.220.220.
I'm using Mac OS Lion. For those who are familiar with with OpenDNS, I also installed the openDNS updater .app so that it constantly syncs with my dynamic IP. As soon as I did this; I realized that my Thunderbird App would time out each time it tried connecting to the server. I even double checked it by removing the dns ip addresses and restarting Thunderbird; only then was thunderbird working.
Any ideas on how I may simultaneously use Thunderbird and the OpenDNS settings without any collision?
