Best iTunes alternative these days for music library?

Question

I no longer own any Apple products and I'm wondering what alternatives I should look into for handling my music. Foobar is too messy for me, I'd prefer a more feature packed and ready to go application - Something like iTunes, not something I need to customize to be like it.

Thanks.

edit: One feature I do like about iTunes is after I've tagged my music files, if I put them into the "Automatically add to iTunes" folder, iTunes reorganizes them under Artist/Album and removes any other junk like playlist files/images. Need a feature similar.

You should try "songbird" or "Amarok"

They are pretty complete but i don't know if they manage your library like itunes.

I personally use "Vox" (don't know if you are on OSX or Win) for the simplicity and the large amount of files supported.

In case you are not convinced by those players try this -> http://alternativeto.net/software/itunes/

Cya :)

DoubleTwist, especially if you have an Android device, is a great choice. There's a player for Android as well which supports WiFi sync and has a bunch of other great features.

Well, I use JRiver Media Center because I have an ASUS Xonar Essence STX sound card; and I need a player that supports ASIO and WASAPI Event Style, since my sound card supports it. It's got excellent great tools for organizing your music as you specified above, and without the additional need of the foolish "Automatically added to..." folder. Very customizable and the best sounding player I've heard. Quick start up, even with 10s of thousands of music files.
