-=SD=-
http://store.yahoo.com/sagetac/reddiaien2wi.html http://store.yahoo.com/sagetac/redaidwen2wi.html I know refurbished is basically them fixing a broken one but it should be fixed right? I want to know about those two links in particular because my brother wants his PC upstairs and not in the basement where the cable modem to my PC is located. I thought this would be a cheap way to get it done, doesn't need to be all fancy hehe, well anyways what ya guys think about this cheap solution? (under a tight budget and this is all I could muster without dragging a 50ft wire upstairs lol)
Frank
It looks good. Alot of "refurbished" equipment people take back or turn in because they don't know what they are doing, so they think it is broken. I wouldn't mind buying this setup. I have the same router and have had no problems.
-=SD=-
Sweet, thanks for the reply. :) Now I know who to go to when I have problems setting it up lol ;)
Frank
It is REALLY easy to set up. It comes with all incoming ports blocked, and outgoing ports are open. I closed all the outgoing ports except for what I need, and I also changed the ICMP rule, so it wouldn?t respond to pings. Other then those two things, I didn?t need to configure anything. -=SD=-
Cool, sounds good, if it works out then I can sell my current 4-port router and make up the cost difference. :D
