Nodiaque
Hi, I have a problem with my computer. Here is my story: I'm running a server (ftp, ssh, http, mail...) at olympus.raptorized.com and anyone can access it. Now, I have a computer that access to it from another place without any firewall, rooter or nat, straigt on the internet. We are both on the same ISP. This computer stop beeing able to access this address, but not only via http, but any way (ssh, ftp, ping,...) I checked the conf, no spyware (scan with 5 best reputated and updated spyware searcher), it's not an internet issue since I tried connecting my laptop in the cable modem and I can access to it, there is also some other web site that this computer refuse to access, there is nothing in my host file saying to prevent access to them, when transfering via msn 6, I get a fuzy message saying something like "Why you are experiencing low transfer rate" with anyone from this computer. There is no nat, no rooter, nothing, it happen suddently. It was working at night, and the next morning, can't access some web site (no one touched it). any clue? Frank
I am a little fuzzy on your setup. Do you have your computer hooked directly on the internet, or is it going through a router?
Nodiaque
I am a little fuzzy on your setup. Do you have your computer hooked directly on the internet, or is it going through a router? I though that was clear... Now, I have a computer that access to it from another place without any firewall, rooter or nat, straigth on the internet. But I know its a computer problem and not a network problem since I used the same connection with my laptop and everything work, so there is no thing about rooter, nat or other such stuff.
