TrueCrypt_Can not copy or drag files into new file container

Question

Using TC 7.1 in Vista hm prem x64 SP2.

Used TC for several yrs, but only for encrypting entire drives (i.e., E:\). Never a single problem.

Recently followed directions for creating a "file" container, following manual instructions. After creating the file container, can't copy / drag or move files from another folder into the new container, once it's mounted. I deleted the container, re read instructions, created another - went exactly same.

In TC wizard, I chose creating the file by browsing to E:\Temp\Docs, then typed name of file: UT. I DID select that I might copy files larger than 4 GB when creating the container. But, I created a 2nd test container, that's only 5 MB, so it didn't prompt me for the 4 GB issue. After mounting this 2nd container, STILL can't copy files (or folders) to it after mounting.

Though when I created the new file container(s), it asked for admin PW before completing, the standard user acct I'm working from is listed as the owner of new file container. This is the same way I've always used TC (creating new partition container, from a user acct, then copying data to & using the TC container FROM a user acct. BTW, files I'm trying to copy AREN'T 4 GB (or anywhere near).

Get no error msgs. If try to copy / paste, after copying file(s), there is no "Paste" option when click on TC file container. If try to drag / drop files to container, there's only an "X" shown when hover over TC file container.

As said, never saw this prob w/ enrypted non system partition / drives. BTW, looked at all the FAQs, read all troubleshooting problems, searched forum. Never saw an answer to my exact problem.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

SOLVED:

What an idiot! After I created the new file container, then mounted it, I was trying to copy files to the actual file container that TC created, instead of the MOUNTED container.

The container file was mounted (to drive J:), but I was trying to copy files to the container FILE located on E:\Temp\<new TC container file name>\

I knew better - just brain fog.
