When I download Word documents from my school's website, Word is automatically opening them in protected mode preventing anything from being changed. When I click on enable editing, sometimes the document will display so that I can make edits to it. Other times, everything in the document disappears and is replaced with a message stating "Checking authentication."
Is there a way to always trust documents from a particular source so that they don't open in protected mode or is there a way to turn off the protected mode?
