Photoshop CS6 Beta Now Available on Adobe Labs

And it's been cracked already. :s

Depending on how the application is crafted (I don't know, I have not disassembled it) it's a matter of minutes...

Being so quick to offer a crack is added fuel for any cracker out there to get it uploaded asap.

Of cause it's a matter of minutes when it's about one of the most pirated software titles out there.

Anyone able to confirm if it has a timebomb? And if I can install it side-by-side with CS5.5?

Thanks!

I bet it has a time-bomb...

The software is gonna resell for hundreds of dollars, so of cause it has. :)

If I'm not mistaken it's 180 days...

Should be possible to install it side-by-side... Maybe check the release notes?

Read over a couple of articles on the link, you can install it alongside a previous version of Photoshop. I can't see anywhere that tells you if there's a timebomb or not; the only reference to it I can find is 'when installing, select "Try for a limited time"', but that's standard across the previous installers too.

Oh well, downloading now :)

Yeah the amount of junk Adobe CS dumps around your system is unbelievable.

Does Adobe CS6 use any of OS X Lion's new features? I think I can guess the answer to that though.

As soon as you start the Photoshop CS6 experience, you realize that the installer is something that has never been seen in OS X before. It really is a creative suite?

I wish I could use it in Lion-fullscreen mode... But not implemented. :/

About the dark UI... First it was bad for me but after one day work I like it.

The dark UI is not too dark. They didn?t do the same mistake the Pixelmator team did. And it?s possible to revert it in the preferences, so you can take a shade of gray that suits your desire.

Been using it for a while now, it's not bad, though I find CS5 works well enough for me, too. Frankly, I'd rather try out a beta of Illustrator CS6, since I use that more often than Photoshop.

Although I do like some of the (relatively minor) UI changes/updates.

Instabuy for me just because of the pixel snapping. It's ridiculous that it's taken them so long to get it right, but at least it's finally here. You should be able to hide the outline by unchecking Extras in the View menu (mapped to Command+H in OS X). That's what I've always had to do. No, it does. He has the shape layer selected.

Oh, well if it goes away on another layer, that sounds ideal to me. As long as I have a layer with a shape selected, I'd like to see the outline. On another layer, I wouldn't, but I think that sounds like the best behavior to me. I honestly thought that's how it worked before, but I haven't used Photoshop in a while.

It is how it worked before. I don't remember when this has been introduced, but I'm almost certain it was already there in CS 2 or CS 3 (but probably goes back to even older versions).

So, is CS6 going to be cheaper than previous versions? I've read that Adobe is moving towards a subscription model now.

I've only played with it for about 1.5 hours, and I'm loving it. Dark UI is something I suggested Adobe since CS2 was announced. Impressive performance.

I can't stand software as a service and subscriptions.

They do that and I'm mad as hell.

I tried the new content aware move on a few pics, it did a rubbish job on all of them even when you'd have thought it should be "easy" i.e, plain background. The darker theme is OK, actually prefer them really dark one (Preferences>UI).
