Deep_Level_Shark
whats the benefit using Firefox multiple profile ? does the same input data in a web page copies to other profiles automatically ?
0 remixedcat
keeps data seperate. Good if several people share the computer with only one windows login. Also you may have a profile just for addon testing like I do. Nope, it's kept seperate unless you manually transfer the data over.

0 Deep_Level_Shark
keeps data seperate. But that I can do if I create two instance of Firefox by just double clicking ...see steps below doble click on firefox shortcut on desktop --------->get firefox window again doble click on firefox shortcut on desktop --------->get another firefox window so here this way you also can keep data separate...is not it ? why to create multiple profile then ? 0 remixedcat
Yes you can keep data separate as long as you follow my directions below: Please note: where I indicated 'nightly' you may have a different firefox version or name here. This is used for an example and you should replace your directory with the one that matches your installation. Here's how to do that: Start>run> copy and paste this or refer to your actual install location "C:\Program Files\Nightly\firefox.exe" -p -no-remote >ok>then it will load the profile manager. Create and edit your profile as desired>follow the prompts... next we are going to prep this for the next run and any other run after that: Right-click on the shortcut icon on the desktop or the taskbar: Change the target location to this: "C:\Program Files\Nightly\firefox.exe" -p -no-remote and hit OK to exit the window.... Now double clicking the icon should bring this up every time and you'll be able to select the profile you want every time. this allows you to also run two seperate firefox instances at once.
