V3L0C|7Y
Well as you might have guessed I'm a little paranoid of "big brother". After reading about some live-aware games contacting MS servers and doing only-god-and-ms-know-what, I'm a little concerned. Mainly because my xbox is modded and I don't want to end up being banned, in case I ever do sign up for Live. So, I want to block the domain at the router, so as to prevent any access from my network to XLive. Can anyone help me out? Is there any way I can see who the xbox is calling? bluebsh
umm it "phones home" as you call it to connect to xbox live, you cant stop it really.. it contacts the xbox live main server before it will relay you to the game host server, and if it no main server is found you cant get to the game server. V3L0C|7Y
You are missing my point. You see, there have been recent reports of "live-aware" games contacting MS servers as soon as the game starts, without opening any xbox live menus or anything like that. I don't use live, but that's not to say someone else might accidently access live and end up getting me banned there too. I have absolutely no reason to be communicating with MS servers, so I don't want any such activity taking place.
