neophi
Hi, Most of you have probably noticed that a whole bunch of songs are screwed up on Kazaa. I heard the songs that are messed up (they start sounding ok but then after a little bit it this sort of screetchy static bursts in, barely popping your ears and speakers) are versions of the RIAA that they have put on the Kazaa Servers as a strategy or whatnot. Anyway, what is an alternative peer-to-peer program good for downloading music nowadays? I don't even download a lot of music, only about 2 or 3 a week. But when I want that one song i have to lok for it for an hour or something. I know a good method is to go on IRC and do trading or fserver trading (or w/e it's called) and stuff. But maybe theres a decent peer-to-peer program nowadays. Thanks.

LRoling
PHD in Computer Engineering to learn IRC? It's freakin simple! You just connect to a network, and use @find song in an mp3 channel, well, most, and the cut and paste the trigger, freaking easy.
eppisode3
I used to use mIRC a few years back when most of the servers were populated with great channels and awesome ops, members, DCCs, XDCCs, etc. Now I've noticed all the servers I used to use are either gone, full of crap, or totally opposite what they were. So, question is, which servers are currently good to use? I'm guessing EFnet is the "one", but there always has been a few that are just as good but with little fanfare surrounding them. LRoling
EFnet is crap since it has no control structure, I use Undernet, has a good support system, and has several good channels like #mp3passion (cofounded it with about 10 friends), very good servers on it. LRoling
I reckon that this college student would never pay $15-$17 for a CD either.

LRoling
In this college town, they make a good buck on overcharging for everything because they think mommy and daddy are paying for everything.
