Kill Bill *possible spoilers*

You dont like him so be it. Fine, I happen to think he is extreamly talented and so does the Industry thus his film Pulp Fiction being listed in the top 100 films of all time. I understood Kill Bill, what he was trying to accomplish, what he was targeting and the shared love of HK Cinema that he has. He was doing a film in the style of what he loves, and because of people like you, he had to tone it down from what he wanted to do.

Yes, that's exacly why you're sitting at you're desk writing a post about how much a movie sucked when Q.T. has directed 4 movies, and 2 of them are cult classics. The only talent you have is jacking you're left nut off, and you? probably suck at that, too.

and no, you are not open-minded.

I am sitting at at my desk at work, making money so I can get my **** made, guess you are the one who is not open minded, and just a very assuming little child.:

And who jacks their nut off? Really? I don't think that would work, OR feel very good.:

If you were open-minded you would respect Q.T. as a director, for what talent he has, and respect that other people liked his movie. Obviously you don't know what the term "bust a nut" means. sigh.

Hell, I respect him, just not the status he has or the hype he gets. He doesn't have the talent others do, nor does he come close.

And who said I didn't respect the people who liked him, just as agent smith said, we are all able to post OUR opinions and they are neither right nor wrong.

And if you would have said 'bust a nut' then I would have understood you, however you said 'jacking my left nut off' ...which I am sorry, but is nowhere close to the same thing.:

How is that respecting him?

sorry you're so sensitive about nuts. anyways, fact is you're not open-minded. I bid good day.

Man, if I didn't respect him, I would have said he was the scum that the janitor cleaned off the toilet.

And as far as being open-minded or not, how's this for you: I have so little care about how you feel about this I think I will go eat an apple.

And its not that I am sensitive about nuts, its that I am sensitive when people attempt to insult me with their poor grammar. :ninja:: And with that, I say: Next time I will kiss you before I f*ck you.:

yeah, pulp fiction was good...so what? Even a blindsquirrel can find a nut every once in a while. I understodd kill bill as well. And I understood that he didn't do a very good job at it. This film no where compares to pulp fiction. The story is ok, kinda dull, and the action is simply basic.

And people like me? Just because I don't like how he made the film doesn't mean he should change ANYTHING about it. A true director makes his movies how HE/SHE wants to, and worries little about what the public thinks. If he was targetting 13 years olds then perhaps he should have been a little more realistic when making the film, and made it possible for 13 year olds to see it. It wasn't because of people like me he had to tone it down, it was because of the studios and the ratings board; there are standards that society has, and this movie barely made them. Not MY standards, but societies. I coulnd't care less about all the blood; my point is that doesn't make it a good movie. Plot, good acting and good shots do. And sorry, but this movie lacked in all 3.

Liking QT doesn't make you seen special. Just like I like ketchup on my bacon, and that doesn't make me special either.

And in a world of talented directors, 'qt' is the ****ing janitor.
Man, if I didn't respect him, I would have said he was the scum that the janitor cleaned off the toilet.

Wow. What the ****ing **** are you talking about? oh god man, if I knew what kind of idiot I would be dealing with I wouldn't have argued with you in the first place. Proof that argueing gets you no where. This will be my last reply, 'cause all that's gonna happen is you making up retarded posts trying to cover up you're contradictions.

I only read the first few posts, but I'll say this:

Those who think this movie is too "gruesome" are just pansies. Since when was a bunch of fake blood spurting out of a limb or neck 'gruesome'...it's not even remotely realistic. And for the record, it's not supposed to be. If you'll notice, there wasn't any excessive blood until she gets to japan and after the anime. In fact, the first time we see blood shoot all over is during the anime. The whole point was that Quentin was creating a live-action anime. From the hordes of enemies to the excessive blood to the gravity-defying stunts, it was all done as a live-action anime. None of that stuff happened while she was in America.

I for one thought it was very well done. I was impressed, and can't wait for the second one.

sorry, but I have more talent in my left nut than 'qt' has ever or will ever had. Funny how this movie had to be a parody; what's the matter...can't come up with any more original material? This one trick pony has faded fast, and the only thing that can bring him back is if he stops, turns around and runs out the door. I am sorry, but people who find the 2nd half of this movie funny, are just trying to get attention. I can appreciate humour on many levels better than most, but this simply is not funny, its over-done and over-hyped. And in a world of talented directors, 'qt' is the ****ing janitor.

all those of you whom liked this 'film' please provide reasons other than: its QT, and the fight scenes were awesome. They were mediocre at best, and not even well shot as far as angles go.

I respect your opinion very much, but its just that your opinion just as I have my own. You are not wrong, nor am I.

There is no reason to blast my opinion just as I have not blasted yours.

I am not blasting you, I am blasting qt.

No, I'm pretty sure you were blasting his opinion, and the opinions of anyone that did like this movie...

Right around where you said, "I am sorry, but the people who find the 2nd half of this movie funny, are just trying to get attention."...that right there? Blasting.

Well as I stated before Unique, your opinion is that, yours. I loved it, and does that make me mindless and idiotic? No, and neither does your opinion make you one. You did not like it so be it. There are plenty who did, critics as well, and highly praised this film. Does that make them right? No, of course not, its all based on opinion. I think your a good guy, from the boards of course, and I am sad to see you lower yourself to these other guys disrespectfull post pointed twards you.

What does respecting QT have to do with enjoying Kill Bill... You can respect a person and still think something they did is complete ****.

Kill Bill was a great movie, but it didnt really have a direction, the begining was awesome, the first fight scene and how he played with the cronological order ie. the chapters. But i think it just went downhill as soon as they introduced O-ren, Im a big fan of HK films and most parts of japanese culture, but when i see satruday night live skit style blood squirting out of limbs its becomes less of an action flick and more of a comedy. Sure blood spraying from a recently cut limb is awesome in an Anime, but it doesnt translate well to real life. That and how O-ren was killed soured me on the movie, but I still walked out thinking I got my money's worth.

I do agree that this movie has no comparison with Pulp Fiction, it was too campy of a movie, also Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill were two completely different movies, it's like comparing apples to oranges. Theres no point.

i liked it .. and it was clear he was influenced and wanted to pay homage to those old martial arts films, i mean he's got rza doing the music! :) .. its violent because it part of the genre that tarantino is filming in..you see that kind of violence all the time in classic anime and it was refreshing to see it in live action .. the action scenes were amazingly choreographed, and no 'cg' used in tarantinto's version of the 'burly brawl'..gotta give them credit for that...its a good movie..not great..definitely not like his other movies, but i think he wanted this to be different..he wanted to make a classic martial arts movie..and you have to give him credit for doing that and not some big, popcorn movie....

oh, and the soundtrack is tight..."he shot me down..bang bang..i hit the ground..bang bang..that awful sound..bang bang..my baby shot me down..."

I was surprised that until whipper, no one really talked about the soundtrack... Very few in the movie biz put the music to a film as well as Quentin. One of the great things I find with "QT" is the fact that he doesn't make "formula" made movies. And in this process, it doesn't seemed pushed like he's trying to be different. This isn't just a HK flick, he grabs from many different styles of films. I've been a huge Shaw brothers fan for years, and one of the things that's always kept me one is based on part style, part intrigue, mixed with a little bit of cheese. Some may have problems with the whole blood spraying thing, but this has always been part of many great samurai flicks (The whole lone wolf & baby cart/shogun assassins comes to mind). There was some truly well done camera work and the cinematography worked for me. And, I may be sounding a bit cheesy, but I like one liners. I like being able to remember a line from a flick and it have meaning (many in the entertainment biz have made very good careers off fu flicks one liners). I will be looking forward to part2.

Also, I believe Battle Royale wasn't banned in the US. I remember a friend going to a special screening of it somewhere.

And Chiaki Kuriyama did a great job as Go Go Yubari in Kill Bill. Hard toss up if I liked her more in this or in Battle Royale.

I think it would be easier for people that didn't like this movie to give out examples of movies they thought were great flix. Not to jump on them, but to help people know where they are comin' from. I can't really remember to many flicks I saw this year that were really anything special.

I went to see the movie earlier tonight and I thought it was quite good. I didn't mind the violence, I mean sure the movie didn't go like 30 seconds without someone spraying blood everywhere but it was entertaining and that's what counts. I didn't expect some ultra-deep plot or something better than Pulp Fiction etc. so I guess that let me enjoy it more. It's funny (well, dark comedy so I guess you have to like that in order to get a laugh out of it) and the music is awesome too. Obviously not everyone likes the movie but that goes for everything else in the world too.

@ Psychoticdemento: I'm 'getting' Battle Royale right now :) Thx for reminding me about it.

Kill Bill rocked. What a fun, over the top movie. O Ren's speach to that Yakuza bosses was classic.

That movie brought back a lot of memories of films past. The homages were plentiful and well done. The whole feel of Tokyo was so Akira/Ghost in the Shell, it was wonderful to watch.

I can understand why some people don't like it. I think you have to know where a lot of the material is coming from in order to fully appreciate it. This movie is probably the only high camp movie I've liked... Ever!

that's not blasting them...that's simply saying they want attention...that's not a bad thing, i want attention ALL the time, why do you think I engage in pointless internet arguments?

LOOK AT ME EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And agent smith, yes I agree we all have valid opinions that are neither right nor wrong, simply opinions.

You have yours, and I have mine. Sorry for any confusion. wanna make out? ;)
