Hypoxiaicon
i have it for the xbox! not played it on the pc. i was thinking the same, as annoying at the anologue stick can be when judging power its better then any other method ive come accross. i dont think it can be done on the pc... unless any pc game pad has anologue sticks? joysticks would be too big and clumsy

I've got it on Xbox and it's a great game. Judging by the PC demo they are still very different games - the console version having an arcade feel, and the PC version kinda like a sim. I prefer the console version too. Theres so much to do on 2004 - it's definately worth a look. The only thing I dont like is that they've virtually taken out the 2 player aspect of the game, by not allowing 2 players to enter a tournament like you could on 2003. You can still play matchplay, strokeplay, skins etc but it's just not the same as competing against each other and also against all the computer players for the big money. It also seems easier, but I havent got too far into the tournaments so they may get harder later on.
Hypoxiaicon
yeh, the 2player part of the game is pretty bad :( the torunaments DO get pretty hard! the world tour one gets pretty hard also
BroChaos Veteran Posted October 10, 2003 Author Veteran Share Posted October 10, 2003 damn, that's what i figured. i wonder why they do that? doesn't matter, i have both versions, but i'm still cursious. i still need to finish a few things in tw2003 for xbox before i start playing 2004. i heard you get more bonus cash in 2k4 depending on how much you finished in 2k3. Plarkster
Yeah, if you have a 2003 savegame or any other EA savegames on your harddisk you'll get a nice load of cash to get you started.
.KICK
I heard 2004 is really similar to 2003 and has no improvements or so what i read in OXM :|
Plarkster
I heard 2004 is really similar to 2003 and has no improvements or so what i read in OXM :| It is similar - it's just another golf game afterall. The gameplay is exactly the same, but you can now use the money you earn to buy equipment and stuff to boost your attributes. Other improvements include a World Tour mode which replaces the Tiger Challenge, a full 10 season career with loads of tournaments and real-time events. Theres also an extra 7 courses, as well as all the ones in 2003. So although the actual gameplay is pretty much the same, theres loads more to do! Like I said before, the single player is much better than 2003, it's just the 2 player that's lacking.
Galley
The PS2 version is easily the best sports game I have ever played! (It's online as well) :D
Chad
Yeah, if you have a 2003 savegame or any other EA savegames on your harddisk you'll get a nice load of cash to get you started. Naw, I thought you could only do that with 2004 EA games. The EA Bio system. I'm pretty sure you can't take advantage of what you earned in 2003 games. I'm pretty sure you can't take advantage of what you earned in 2003 games. The money doesnt carry over from TW2003 to TW2004 as such, it just gives you a bonus if it finds any previous EA savegames on your hard disk. I had TW2003 and Fifa 2003 savegames so it gave me a bit more money to start. It definately wasn't the EA Bio as I havent set it up yet.

I usually delete the savegame stuff when the next game comes out.
Galley
It only offers cash for the previous, (or possibly current) years versions. You get "diddlysquat" for 2002 version game saves.
