citrusmoose
Hi. Our dorm uses a router(s) to feed internet to every one in the building. The problem is that the routers use NAT, and I want to be able to use programs or setup web servers that require users to access/send to my computer, but I can't because I have no control over the routers to map to my specific computer. Is there anyway to work around this problem?
Moredhel
i've heard VPN/VNC can be used to get specific ports through firewalled routers however im not enough of a techie to know precisely how this is done hopefully this will give you an avenue to investigate
Frank
I don't believe there is a way to do this without port forwarding, or a private IP.
