TadXP
My @MSN email address is acting weird. First of all, where it usually says, "You have (12) New email messages" it says "Go To My Email Inbox" and when I click on the go to my email inbox, it opens Outlook Express. Last night it kept changing my status to busy. I have reinstalled MSN 6 and made sure it was the most up to date version. I ran a virus scan, and I have also tried MSN Explorer and it doesnt display how many messages I have, but I can click on the Email button and it will take me to my Inbox. Please can anyone help me????? This is really annoying and I would like it to be fixed very soon. Thank you everyone for all the help (I hope I get) in advance. "Last night it kept changing my status to busy.> This can happen because MSN Messenger thinks you're using a full-screen application and therefore shows your status as busy (This feature was introduced in MSN Messenger 6x).I have reinstalled MSN 6 and made sure it was the most up to date version. > Depending on how you reinstall MSN Messenger 6x +, it can corrupt the new installation (see thread: https://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?show...l=MSN+Messenger )To help you further you haven't provided enough information about your computer. I don't know which version of MSN Explorer, MSIE, MSOE, Messenger (Build version), Windows version and any hotfixes and updates you have. :s
belto
if you are still using msn6 then you have to get a hold of a newer version. maybe msn7. msn8 is a paid service now. it is a software problem and beside M$ pulled off thier msn6/7 long time ago so you have to find anouther place that has this in their archives. they want you to suscribe to msn8! TadXP
I have all the hotfixes and all the updates from Windows Update! My MSN Messenger 6 Build # is 6.0.0602. My Build Number for IE is 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.030422-1633. I think this is the build number of MSN Explorer 7.02.0005.2202. The Windows Messenger 5 version is 5.0.0381. Windows XP is up to date. It really started happening when I downloaded Limewire and told it to use Java Runtime for IE. I will try messing around with that, and btw I have signed into my account on a friends computer and it does the exact same thing???? Could it still be a software issue. My @hotmail account works fine. Thanks for all the help so far. Edit- It has also been telling me that I am signed in at another location and it signs me out. No one, I repeat no one knows my password. I don't know what's going on. Thanks.
