A WEALTHY Texas surgeon who accidentally left his $21,000 Rolex watch in a patient's abdomen during a gallbladder operation has sent her a bill for the pricey timepiece. And he's threatened legal action if she doesn't pay up!

She should get a lawyer and take him to court for malpractice. See how he likes that. There is no way that she should have to pay for the removal of something that the doctor left in her by mistake.

Naw, that story cant be real. Doctors strip off all their jewelry etc. before they operate on someone. This story would be on the frontpage of most headlines already. The lady would be very ill right now if she had a watch in her.

Could be real, doctors leave things in people all the time. Although why he would have his watch on is a good question, just do a search for recent malpractice suits and see how many come up like this one.

And, I can't see why it would hurt. Maybe feel a little odd, but unless it was poking something, it probably wouldn't hurt.

This story was fake. There is no way doctor wearing any jewellery when performing surgeon. They have to strip them off.

exactly what I was thinking. I found it hard to beleive that he would have had it on in surgery
