Network folder sharing issue

Recommended Posts

hello

I have got a weird networking and file sharing issue at my home network. I have 10 computers connected to a single router under the same workgroup, 8 running Windows 7, 2 running Windows Vista. 8 computers can access ALL of the computers under Network folder, the last two troublemakers can see the other 8, just not each other. Troublemaker 1: Windows Vista; troublemaker 2: Windows 7. However, if I try to access each other via IP address, I can access them without issue. So I am baffled... :pinch: can anyone shed some light on this situation?

All of the computers are on "Home Network" profile, and all of the network discovery are set to "ON"

Have you turned on "Network Discovery" for those two troublemakers? Type 'advanced sharing settings' in Start menu and turn on Network discovery for the appropriate profile.
