Frank
We at work use Trend's Office Scan.... It is a great product, but I couldn't comment on their home version (PC-Cillin). Mcaffe and Norton seem to work well. This question is a lot like "Which truck is better, Chevy, Ford, or Dodge" because you will get a different answer out of most people because of their preference. \\Coroner//
McAffe seems to work well. I use it at work and at home but do not rely upon that alone. Spybot Search & Destroy and a hardware firewall are good supplements to help tighten security. If a hardware firewall is not an option try Zone Labs Zone Alarm software. Aaron Veteran Posted October 13, 2003 Veteran Share Posted October 13, 2003 Norton is a very heavy applciation, requires a lot of system resources. McAfee is ok, but I have found McAfee stuff to be quite buggy at times. I used Panda and really liked it, very ligh weight and simple. There is always AVG for free. MitchShrader
i personally like (free) AVG, but dont use it.. would recommend it to anyone not running a network. For pay, low cost, AVG (pay version) is inexpensive, for 'cutting edge' NOD32 is very well thought of, (subscription and not cheap) . I use Kaspersky m'self, as its fast enough, small enough footprint, and suits my system. And I'm a wierdo and like apps with Odd names..

I use Pc Cillin 2003 and no drama. However, my friends uses a Intel HT 2.4 and even though there is a fix for the PC Cillin 2003 for Hyperthread systems, he is still having issues. Be warned if using PC Cillin 2003 and a Hyperthread chip. Otherwise, Nod32 Kaspersky F-Secure
